Gregory Harris, DO, FACOI

Gregory E. Harris, DO, FACOI, is a practicing Hematologist/Oncologist at the Harbin Clinic in Rome, GA. Dr. Harris is a Board Certified Hematologist, Oncologist and Internal Medicine Physician. He trained in Hematology/Oncology and Internal Medicine at the Michigan State University Genesys Regional Medical Center. In 2010, Dr. Harris graduated from the Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Harris attended Mississippi State University where he studied microbiology.

 

Dr. Harris served as chief fellow of the Hematology/Oncology fellowship program. He was also chief resident of his internal medicine residency. Dr. Harris served as the fellow representative to the Michigan Society of Hematology and Oncology (MSHO). He served as the New Physician in Practice board member on the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) Board of Trustees from 2018-2021. During that time, he also chaired the Bureau of Emerging Leaders representing all students, post-doctoral trainees, and new physicians in practice. He served as a member on the National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners (NBOME) Special Commission on Osteopathic Medical Licensure Assessment and NBOME Independent Review Committee in 2021-2022. He now serves as a member of the University of Pikeville Board of Trustees and is now President-Elect of the Georgia Osteopathic Medical Association (GOMA).

 

Dr. Harris is also a member of The American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Society of Hematology. Dr. Harris has tremendous interest in advocating for quality and patient safety issues. He is also interested in the practice of community oncology and delivering services from benign hematology and all solid tumors.
